Q+A

What are the accommodations for out of towns guests?

We've secured a room block at the Old Edwards Inn and 200 Main for wedding guests. Please see the lodging page for additional options in Highlands.

Will transportation be provided?

Yes! Shuttles will pick up from Old Edwards Inn and 200 Main. More details to come.

What time should I arrive?

We ask that all guests arrive by 4:30pm so everyone can be seated comfortably before the 5:00pm ceremony.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be inside, cocktail hour will be both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting), and the reception will be inside.

What should I wear?

We ask all guests to dress in Black Tie Optional. Black Tie Optional is a formal dress code allowing guests to choose between wearing a traditional tuxedo or (formal evening gown) or a dark, conservative suit (or formal cocktail dress).

Can I drive to the venue?

It is highly encouraged to take the shuttles, as there is limited parking. Alcohol will be provided at the event and the winding roads can be a challenge. If you decide not to utilize the shuttle service, you may park at the venue. The Farm at Old Edwards is located at 336 Arnold Road Highlands, NC 28741.

Can I bring a plus one?

We kindly ask to limit your party to those named on your invitation.

What can we expect the weather to look like?

October in Highlands, NC, offers cool, comfortable, and often stunning autumn weather, featuring average daily highs around 71°F (21°C) and chilly, crisp nights with lows near 48°F (9°C). That said, Highlands is at the center of one of two temperate rainforests in the United States, so rain is very much a possibility!

Can I bring my children?

Unless children are specifically mentioned on your invitations, we kindly ask that this be an adults-only event.
